Classes or Workshops

Plant Identification & Ranch Management Class (May 2008). New or long-time property owners both need to be able to identify plants to help make wise land management decisions. This class teaches how to identify grasses, wildflowers, trees, and shrubs. Classes may also discuss forage production and livestock preferences. Attendees are given contacts to allow them to follow up with their grazing management needs, and they receive brochures or handouts for further information. Plant ID workshops provide more extensive training than can be gained at our field days. Classes are offered by Gillespie Co. SWCD in cooperation with Fredericksburg ISD Community Education.
