Spring Beef & Range Field Day is held each May. Our field days have one of the largest
attendances of any locally sponsored field days in Texas.
Program topics for field days are selected by agreement between
Gillespie Co. SWCD, USDA NRCS, and the Livestock, Agronomy and Wildlife
Committees of the Cooperative Extension Program Council. Attendance
earns CEUs for renewal of the private
pesticide applicator’s license.
Typically, a barbecue meal is served after the program, while District
directors give away door prizes donated
by local people and businesses.
