NRCS CONSERVATION PROGRAMS

USDA NRCS staff works with local landowners and Gillespie County SWCD in a variety of federal cost-shared programs.  Visit the TX NRCS web page at http://www.tx.nrcs.usda.gov/programs/ for a list of programs and to learn how NRCS can help ranchers and farmers.

On June 20, 2011, Gillespie County SWCD hosted a Local Work Group meeting with NRCS to rank eight resource concerns for Cropland, Pastureland, & Rangeland for EQIP (the Environmental Quality Incentives Program).  Concerns are ranked 1 through 8, with 1 being the highest. Here are the results:
