GILLESPIE COUNTY SOIL & WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT #220 Gillespie County, Texas Annual Fall Field Day was held October 9, 2008 at the Gillespie County Fairgrounds Showbarn. Attendees earned 1 CEU in Laws and 1 CEU in IPM toward renewal of their private pesticide applicator's license. Approx. 110 people attended. Program Details Country of Original Labeling (COOL) Update, and Supplemental Feeding & Protein Sources, Dr. Rick Machen, Texas AgriLife Extension Livestock Specialist. Chemical Brush Control & Labels, Dr. Bob Lyons, Texas AgriLife Extension Range Specialist Forages & Fertilizer, by Charles Stichler, Agronomist Bill Botard, Charles Stichler, and Tom Hammer relax after the program Exhibits: Willard Dearing, retired NRCS, answered questions about plants during the registration time before the programs. South Texas Bobwhite Brigades, Jacob Krebs The 2008 Fall Field Day was sponsored jointly by the Gillespie County SWCD, USDA NRCS, Texas Cooperative Extension, and Grazing Lands Conservation Initiative (GLCI).
